各城市的重要报纸以醒目版面刊出评论家们对于《天与地》的评论。
电视节日主办人采访了陈冲，就有关她如何能出色地扮演一个与自己年龄、经历天差地别的角色进行了问答。
陈冲为自己能得到这样机会感到幸运。这机会可容她对表演艺术的见识做一番表白。
陈冲出现在电视屏幕上是一身平常便服：一件豆绿色毛衣，一条黑色牛仔裙。脸上没有脂粉痕迹。她轻松自然地谈到《天与地》的母亲角色，是至今她得到的最公正的一个表演机会，因为它的成败将纯粹取决于她的表演造诣，而不取决于其他任何因素，比如形象，以及人们所熟悉的她的气质。甚至她从《末代皇帝》以及其他若干影片中赢得的信用都是不作数的，因为她不再能得助于人们长期以来对她形象的喜爱和亲切感。她等于是从零开始，塑造了母亲这个人物。

我相信人的愿望。有志者事竟成，这句话一点都不错。一个人只要敢于做梦，这个梦就一定会成真。这话说说容易做起来难。有的遇到失败便放弃了，说我已努力了。其实你如真的想要的话，就不会放弃，一定会做到的。
